DSTNCMP21 FAQs
We want you to feel completely at home at DestinationCamp! That’s why, in addition to the most important information about tickets, the schedule, how to get there, and more, these FAQs also include all the key COVID-19-related details—which we’ll, of course, keep updating regularly.
This year, we have once again developed a comprehensive health and safety plan in coordination with the relevant authorities. This plan builds on last year’s proven approach and is continuously adapted to comply with current regulations and guidelines.

By using the Corona-Warn-App, everyone can play an important role in breaking the chains of infection early on. It helps identify high-risk encounters with people who have tested positive for COVID-19, for example in everyday situations such as while shopping or during extended trips on public transportation. It can thus serve as an important supplement to the contact tracing efforts of public health authorities.
We will use the information participants provided when registering for this year's DestinationCamp to notify you in the event of an infection.
Tickets in the "Flexible Ticket" category can be canceled through April 1, 2021, for a 40% fee; after that date, a 60% fee applies for cancellations. The "Flexible Ticket" can be rebooked free of charge through April 12, 2021. All other tickets are excluded from rebooking or cancellation.
Every year, in the run-up to the event, a topic survey is conducted via the DSTNCMP website, and all former and registered participants are invited to participate via email. Of course, anyone else who is interested is also welcome to submit their questions and suggestions.
The topic survey is then evaluated to ensure that the desired topics, questions, and ideas are taken into account as comprehensively as possible and grouped in a meaningful way. You’ll find the results in the program when the time comes, and in a bit more detail on the blog as well.
Because at DestinationCamp, all participants are on a first-name basis. This is due to the Barcamp-style format, the workshop atmosphere, and the culture of collaboration, and this practice is maintained for at least the three days of the event.
To ensure that we have the right professionals to moderate the sessions for all 8 topic areas, we reserve the right to discuss and finalize the moderators within our team after evaluating the topics. In doing so, we will, of course, take into account recommendations from our networks.
You'll find the Wi-Fi access information in the booklet that came with your name tags, so it's always right at your fingertips. ;)
That's our little secret—let it be a surprise! We'll start at 8:00 p.m., and you'll receive details on how to get there in plenty of time.
Let's be clear: there's no dress code! Please come dressed however you feel most comfortable. You'll definitely be in good company if you wear jeans and sneakers. There are no rules for the event on Wednesday evening either. By the way, after the last session, you'll have plenty of time to head back to the hotel first.
A taxi is often the fastest way to get around. You can call one anytime by dialing +49 40 211 211 or using the MyTaxi app.
You are welcome to stop by the venue on Wednesday and Thursday mornings starting at 8 a.m. to enjoy a light breakfast or snack while engaging in some initial conversations.
Absolutely not! In fact, we’d be delighted if you’d prefer to participate in person by contributing to practical, hands-on results and only become active on social media during breaks or after the event.
Of course, your luggage can be safely stored at the event venue, so you’ll all have plenty of time to wrap up the final day of DSTNCMP with us over a delicious lunch.
Ticket sales always open on German Tourism Day in November; advance reservations are not possible. It pays to act quickly, as the main allocation of tickets usually sells out within 4–6 weeks.
Every year, we make sure you have access to special room allocations at beautiful and conveniently located hotels in every price range. Under “Travel & Accommodations,” you’ll find detailed information about our partner hotels.
